Line counts are a map, not a risk score. Text volume can reveal minified or long-line files that line counts flatten. Renames and copies remain visible even when Git records zero changed lines. Mirror detection requires the complete added/deleted line sequence to match and only changes the view when selected. Noise detection is path-based and optional; tests and tiny security changes can matter more than their area.
