A small browser experiment

Paper Bridge

Big pictures. Small printer. A little overlap.

Make a poster from ordinary sheets. Your image stays in this tab: no uploads, no account, no saved copy.

PNG/JPEG up to 12 MB and 24 megapixels. At most 25 sheets. Transparent areas print on white. Reloading clears your image.

From printer to wall

  1. Print one-sided, at 100% / actual size. Choose the same paper and orientation shown above. Turn off headers and footers; do not use “fit to page.” Save a PDF first if you want to check the sheets.
  2. Measure the 50 mm line before cutting. If it is not 50 mm, correct your print scaling. The artwork stays at least 10 mm from the paper edge.
  3. Keep the map open. Trim each sheet’s white margins between the small corner marks. The marks sit outside the picture. Keep all printed image, including the repeated strips; do not cut those off. The last row or column may be narrower. Pencil its label on the back before removing it.
  4. Build each row left to right. Lay the left edge of A2 onto the last repeated strip of A1 (not beside it), so the picture matches; continue across. Then place row B over the bottom of row A, matching the repeated strip. Tape on the back. Orange shading is map-only, not printed.

Not yet physically tested. Browser/PDF checks cannot establish your printer’s scaling, colour or feed accuracy. Try two sheets before committing to a large poster.
